The much-awaited pictures

Here are some pictures from Nadia's arrival and shortly thereafter. we are in the apartment and have no phone or internet right now...soon, though, i hope. the very last pic is my amazing midwife and nadia (yep, my midwife/doc was on-call when nadia was born...hooray!). the prego belly pic was from the day before nadia was born. i promise the labor/delivery story is coming soon!

We got it

we got the apartment...we think, ha! regardless, we won't be online much for a bit. i will post some pictures later today (that's the plan, anyway).

I'm still here...

yep, i'm still around and doing good. i've been having trouble posting pictures...ugh! i will try to see if i can post some on facebook soon. and hopefully i'll also share the labor/delivery story soon, too.

nadia is doing well. she eats great and is starting to be awake a little more during the day. she's so precious. liberty & leila love nadia. they love to hold her and kiss her and fight over her. it seems like we've been having some more issues between liberty & leila, but not between them and nadia. weird. they are doing good, though. liberty thinks nadia is her baby and we were so embarrassed at the store the other day when a lady was talking to us liberty told her rudely, "don't talk to nadia." daddy took her to the car for a talking to and then back into the store to apologize to the lady (she's a worker there). so far adjusting to 3 hasn't been horrid, but we haven't done much either. mostly i'm just really tired.

as for the apartment...i am going to call on that again today (yes, it's taking FOREVER for that to get worked out). jonathan's mamaw comes home tomorrow so we're praying we can move in today or tomorrow. PLEASE!

guess that's it for now. i'm so sorry for the lack of pictures, but the computer is just not cooperating with me.

And then there were five...

Nadia Zenevieva has finally made her appearance! She was born yesterday, February 10, 2009 @ 9:27pm. She weighs 7lbs 12oz and is 20 inches long. She's absolutely beautiful and we adore her! We're home from the hospital now and doing well. More details and pictures to come later...

Non-stress test - 41wks pregnant

i had my nst at the hospital today and everything is still looking great! baby was very active and it looks like she's still getting everything she needs in this growing belly of mine. my next doctor's appointment is on wednesday unless this wee one finally decides to come out of her cozy home :). that's all for now. we'll keep you posted!

5 Years

today jonathan and i celebrate our 5th year of marriage. in some ways it seems like we've been married forever, and in some ways it seems like the time as passed in the blink of an eye. we've been through ups and downs, 7 moves, lived in 6 different states, became parents to 2 beautiful daughters with a 3rd due any day now, laughed a ton, cried a lot...all the pieces of our marriage (the good, the bad, the exciting, the mundane, etc..), make me love jonathan even more now than the day we married. every day of these past 5 years has brought us closer together. i think the most important part of that is we have always TRIED to keep God at the center of our marriage. HE has been so faithful to us.

so...HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, MY LOVE!

A few things...

good morning! hope everyone is doing well. we are doing alright here. i've had a few contractions on and off the past couple of days, but nothing consistent. i'm feeling good, though. i'm so ready to meet my 3rd baby girl, but at the same time i want her to come on her (God's) time, not mine.

yesterday we found out that mamaw's (jonathan's grandma who we are housesitting for) sister passed away. mamaw is planning to stay in alabama an extra 10 days. please be praying for for jonathan's family there. also, jonathan's uncle is in the hospital right now with some health issues (this is jonathan's dad's brother...also mamaw's son). so, if you think of them, please say a few prayers for the family! thank you.

in apartment news we are STILL waiting. it is really frustrating for us, but we know God's timing is so much different (and better) than ours. we're trying to be patient, but it's hard sometimes.

i guess that's about everything. we sure appreciate your prayers for jonathan's family.

40 weeks & counting

hello there all. sorry if we've been out of touch online, but this dial up internet just isn't working all that great! anywho...

today i am 40 weeks and 1 day pregnant. i went in for a check up and everything is looking good. i haven't made any more progress since last week (1cm dialated, 75% effaced). my doctor and i talked about how long i want to go and what she's comfortable with. on monday if i haven't had the baby i'll be 41 weeks and i am scheduled for a non-stress test to make sure nadia is still getting all the nutrients she needs from my placenta. if everything looks good then we'll keep waiting for her to come on her own. if not, then i'll be induced. my doctor is willing to go to 42 weeks and if i reach 42 weeks (which i don't think i will), then i'll be induced. we're wanting nadia to come on her own time, so please be praying about that with us. leila was actually born right on the 41 week mark, so we've been here before :). i'm also really hoping/praying that my doctor is on call when i do go into labor. she is amazing and i really want her to be the one deliver the baby if at all possible. so, that's where we are with baby news right now...just waiting.

i have been really cranky this past week...i don't remember being this cranky when i was pregnant with liberty or leila. i seriously feel sorry for jonathan and the girls right now...

in apartment news, there is a place ready for us, but we are waiting for paperwork to finish coming in. they can't let us move in until they have all the necessary paperwork. please be praying that happens THIS WEEK. jonathan's mamaw comes home on sunday and we don't want to be in limbo with where we will be living. thank you!
