what we've been up to...

i've been trying to keep us busy while jonathan/daddy is away :)  here's a peak into what we've been doing...

~ missing daddy, of course!!  one night leila woke up and said she missed daddy and insisted on sleeping in his chair.  precious!

~ being proud of jonathan/daddy.  he's working hard at his new job and enjoying it.  cannot wait until we've got things worked out and the girls and i can join him!

~ finally finishing a new hat for leila.

~ starting a new knitting project with this deliciously soft yarn.

~ playing on the couch bed (this pic is leila and nadia peaking down at liberty.

~ building houses for daddy (liberty)

~ having a movie night with my mom and sister...complete with ice cream sundaes, of course!

~ hanging out with my sister (& my mom, too, sometimes) and her boys.

~ packing exactly one box (there is no move date yet...just had a box laying around so i used it).

~ eating pizza and watching "the incredibles" (liberty's current favorite movie) with my dad.

~ having dinner with my friend angela and her 3 kiddos (we've been friends since the 2nd grade!!).  this pic is leila wearing angela's high heels (this girl loves shoes!!).

~ cleaning out the fridge and pantry.

~ praying for precious landon.  please be praying for him and the whole pollak family, too!!

Some Smiles

we're laying low here today as liberty was sick yesterday evening and through the night.  she seems to be doing better today so far.  praying that it doesn't pass through all of us!  i planned on posting yesterday, but then libbs got sick and time just got away from me, as usual ;).  jonathan started his new job this week.  it's going pretty good.  we are missing him like crazy here, though.  it's lonely without him.  this morning liberty asked me what time it was.  i told her, and then she said, "is that time for daddy to come get us?"  anyway...on to some smiles!

1.  jonathan has been getting sales this week...yea!  he's doing better each day and getting more confident in his new role.  we're proud of you, honey!!

2.  leila has been going pee and sometimes poop on the potty.  it just started all of a sudden and she's been doing great so far!  we're quite proud and excited!  she's still in diapers at night and nap times, but it's so good to be down to just one in diapers now!

 

3.  a night of uninterrupted sleep.  sunday night the big girls spent the night with poppo and i was able to sleep through the night.  it was so refreshing.  i really wish i knew why leila wakes up all night long.

4.  a visit with great gram & gramps (my grandparents).  they are leaving for arizona this week, so the girls and i went to visit them for the day.  it was a lot of fun...i always enjoy time with them...and the girls like it, too.  (that busy time of spending the night w/ poppo then going right to great gram's for the day had liberty going to sleep at 6pm and not waking until 8am...wow!).  unfortunately i didn't get any pictures :).

5.  this sweet picture.  of course on the way home from gram's the girls all fell asleep.  when i went to get them out of the car, i found liberty and nadia holding hands while they slept...too precious!

6.  daddy & his girls.  before jonathan left on saturday i of course had to get a few pics of him and the girls.  he's such a great daddy!  his girls miss him dearly!

7.  playing bus.  liberty likes to line up the two little chairs and pretend they are on a bus. i remember doing the same thing when i was a kid.  such great imaginations.

11.  having angela, tj & kiddos over for dinner.  we always enjoy our time with them.  nadia and isabella were so funny...they were wrestling and trying to kiss each other.  so cute!

14.  fun in the kitchen drawer.  sometimes when i am cooking the girls enjoying playing with all the kitchen utensils.  nadia especially enjoys banging two little baking pans together.

15.  gotta' smile when libbs and puny play nicely together...they tend to fight over things a lot, but they also play so very well together at times.  love it!

16.  having angela over for the day on saturday.  she helped keep my mind off the fact we had just dropped jonathan off at the airport that morning.  and of course we had a ton of fun together. 

17.  hanging with my sister and her boys yesterday.  always a good time :)

ridiculously behind

oh my!  i just cannot seem to keep up on this blog lately.  i want to.  i intend to.  but time just passes me by and next thing i know weeks have flown by.  so...here's a bit of what we've been up to...

~i finished knitting nadia's sweater.  i think it turned out really well for my first sweater.  i can't wait to try more in the future.

~finally took leila in for her 2 year check up.  she's doing great...very healthy.  she's small for her age, but doing well!  she's weighing it at 22lbs and is 32inches tall.  i'm sure nadia isn't too far behind her in weight!

~it's less than one month now until nadia's 1st birthday.  i'd like to know how that happened?! 

~liberty's got some mad house-building skills these days.  she loves building these big houses with the blocks...but boy does she get upset when they get knocked or taken down!

~i recently realized i have 2 years worth of pictures on my computer that are NOT backed up...so i've been trying to get them saved on discs.  oh my, what a task (i sure take a LOT of pictures!!).

~after much prayer and discussion, my hubby has accepted a new job back in his hometown area.  the plan is for him to go out there first and get started and settled...to save up the money for the move and to get us a place to live.  hopefully this will only take a month or 2 at the most.  he leaves on saturday :(.  ack...we are going to miss him oh so much!  but as a dear friend recently said, you gotta' do what you gotta' do to survive the times.  and michigan's economy is just horrendous right now and will take so so long to turn around.  we're looking forward to seeing what God has in store for us (let's hope for settling down!).
